Tony'ys t-shirt launch is booked for the 29th of November 1-3pm. The painkillers will be playing in the window. Come and have a drink and celebration with us. This Saturday in the X-ray carpark Lick will be part of the youth music market- the store will be 50% off all marked prices and less. Come along for a bargin. We have more Nique, Mink Pink and Evil Twin in the store. Lots of summer sunshine on the racks ready to go. Some news- Lick Cottosloe is closing down in the near future so we can consolidate Freo. Tony and I will be able to run it ourselves and be better informed as to what you guys want in the shop. It's all about consolidation- or is it... Keep posted for the Cott closing down sale- it will be a ripper.

Hi guys, heaps of new stock in store- Nique mens T-shirts and a new label that i can't quite remember- it's funny though and worth a look. We have 1000's of pairs of mens urbanolgy shorts. Tomorrow night Fremantle power-rock group The Fags are modelling bypola T-shirts for swing tags and promo material. The launch date- although not officially set is drawing near. I guess you just have to take my word for it. The Fags are playing at the Hyde Park on Sunday. Scottie from long mac next door in freo is playing at the
leederville tonight. We will be there- fantastic band.

Ruby-Joy and i are off down south with the family. Lick is in the capable hands of judy in Cott and Tony in freo. Give him heaps. Oh and new Libertine belts in- the man is truly an artist of belts.

We have a new range of ceramic jewllery by local freo artist Meran. tThey are very sweet and inexpensive. Sadly, the olives stuffed with capsicum broaches have been snapped up by martini drinking lick staff- me included. There are little pale pink dog broaches though that are soooo cute.

Monday 7th of September
Fremantle street artist Jamie's window installation will be launched on September 13th 1-3pm. Come along, have a drink with the artist and if you recite Hickory dickory dock in it's entirety you will recieve a 20% discount. At the discretion of staff, those that accompany the poem with hand movements or interpretive dancing,
may recieve a better deal. See you then.
Oh, and Totem is in store now, lots of wonderful Totem prints... more Minty Meets Munt and Shilla. Great little party dresses for the start of the Spring party season and Licks Sunday opening.

Just in huge boxes of Totem and Living Doll. Great stock- in both Freo and Cott. Window changes this week and artist Jamie is planning a small opening on the weekend. Will give details when I know. In the meantime- see you in Freo.

Yolanda's fly window launch was a huge success. Images from the window with swatting punters will be up in the art gallery and changeroom gallery in a few days. Thanks to everyone that came and supported the window.xx
Wednesday 20th July
Another month has passed and another window has been changed. This Sunday at 1pm Yolanda from onetrickpony will be launching her fly window at 1pm. A photographer will be in attendance to shap customers in the fly window. Photos will be available from Yolanda. The invite is in the changeroom gallery.
Stock wise- we have a huge box of clothes from Motel. Beautiful floral prints, mini skirts and dresses, bow body suits. Some in Fremantle but most in Cottesloe. Great denim mini skirts in pale washes and lots of jeans. I only get small batches of jeans so you have to be quick to get your size. See you at the fly launch,

I have been flat out during the holidays with Anna away, Judy sometimes and Bridget head hunted by bridal designers. I have not had too much time to write, however needless to say nearly all of the new stock from Mink Pink, Staple and Evil Twin is sold out. Great news for Lick- I guessed the closest number of sugar cubes in Louise's sculpture. It wasn't rigged- really. The sculpture will remain in lick so all can continue to enjoy it.
Abe performed in the window yesterday and will continue to peg himself throughout July. If you come into Lick Cott or Freo and say 'why did July to me' you will recieve 20% discount.

I have never got excited about belts before... not a big fan of leather. However, just arrived yesterday from the leafy hills of Adelaide, Libertine belts. They are truly beautiful. Little birds and trees etched into the leather, wide dress belts, great unisex belts for jeans etc and groovy buckles. I can't believe I am saying this but these belts are poetic. I'll get some images in the changeroom as soon as possible so you get what I mean and don't think I'm a complete lunatic.
Monday 8th June
Lick has just unveiled it's third window installation. Sugar.....(oh honey, honey) by Louise Elscot. Have a look in the art gallery and make a comment. Beautiful sculpture made entirely from sugar cubes. Louise has set up a gold coin competition where you guess the number of sugar cubes(over 6000) and at the end of the month the winner will take home the sculpture. Very, very generous.
In the next few weeks, Lick will be playing it's own custom made music by local artists Nicki Jones and Shaun Salmon. Yes- made especially for the shop.
Stock wise- 50's styled cropped jackets for women by Sunny Girl, shimmering Azuki party frocks and Lee Jeans for guys . Local designers continue to dazzle with beautiful dresses by Stiff. Support local designers- come on.
We are nearing the end of this financial year- keep posted for sale stuff.

OK guys, the sale is over and went beautfully. I'm shutting up shop and retiring. Well maybe not... but it was great. Now the shops have been emptied we are filling up again with new stock. Just in Azuki party frocks, great retro inspired cord mini skirts and sundry from Ladakh, Mink Pink party frocks, sexy minis and little sailor dresses, and finally some Motel floral hot off the block.
Not many came in and said the magic words during the sale, so only a few made further savings from the fabulously generous offer written up in the stock room diary. In future keep tuned and make these offers work for you. Every few weeks we will write up something really silly for you to do in the shop and then you will be rewarded with some great retail shopping therapy discounts. Nothing too ridiculous, I mean what is ridiclous about being asked to fall at the feet of Annette and worship? Really?

Lick is having a sale from Monday the 25th of May to Sunday 31st of May. Buy one garment and get the second garment at half price. Conditions will apply- for example the second garment must cost less.

It's been a busy week in Lick unpacking boxes. New to Lick include Mink pink affiliated labels Evil Twin and Staple. Evil Twin is edgier than mink pink. Lots of snake skin and spider web inspired minis, bodies and dresses. Staple is just what it suggests, staples for every girls wardrobe. Very reasonably priced. Big floppy t-shirts and flowing pants in solid colours. From Urbanology for guys a whole lot of T-shirts with great, interesting and sometimes provocative graphics. At polar ends to these t-shirts are windcheaters and T-shirts for women from Just Add sugar- beautiful appliqued owls, birds and other cute things, available in Cott and Freo. Hi guys- Lick has two new Brazillian styled jewellery lines. Marzio Fiorini, made in Brazil, are mandala inspired recylcled rubber designs. Very bold and funky, they would compliment any of the 60's inspired retro gear in store at the moment.
Danni designs , from Brazillian designer Danni, now living in Perth, are floral, feminine and pretty. They are individually styled so that they can be worn as head bands, necklaces, bracelets or belts.
Lick favourites Ladakh, Sunny Girl, Mink Pink and Living Doll are regularly restocked. It is a good idea to pop in and check out what's new.
At the moment we have heaps of Living Doll leggings, footless tights, tights and long socks. Wet look leggings will arrive next week.

Paul Frank has a great new line of retro inspired floral tops- in Fremantle only.

Thanks to all those people who have commented on the art installation. On a personal level I find the work utterly breath taking. I like glimpsing it throughout the day while I am working.
